Les Vins Masi, which celebrates in 2022 the 250th anniversary of the first harvest of the Boscaini family in Valpolicella, have chosen the city of Quebec to mark this anniversary by holding a benefit dinner for the benefit of the Quebec organization of people with cancer (OQPAC). At the request of Luc Lescarbeau, retired from the SAQ Maguire, Luc Desroches (photo), general and commercial director at Masi Agricola for the Atlantic and Asia-Pacific regions, accepted the honorary presidency of this five-course dinner, washed down with Masi wines (obviously), which will be held on Saturday, October 1st, starting at 6 p.m., at the Hôtel Le Bonne Entente in Québec. Since its creation in 1984, the OQPAC's mission has been to offer personalized services and community activities based on welcoming, listening, mutual aid and solidarity that are specifically aimed at people with cancer and their loved ones in the Capitale-Nationale region, from Portneuf to Charlevoix. The musical community in mourning 

Sad news. The internationally renowned tenor Benoît Boutet(photo) died in Toronto, in a tragic accident, on September 1, at the age of 62. Originally from Charlesbourg, it was with his father, Pierre, that he learned to sing. After studying music at the Collège de Sainte-Foy, the Conservatoire de musique de Québec and Laval University, he perfected his skills at the Piccola Opera (1983) and at the University of Toronto (1984-86), before be part of the COC (Canadian Opera Company). During his career, Benoît Boutet has been regularly invited by the greatest Canadian opera houses (Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton, Quebec [photos], Rimouski and Montreal) as well as in the United States, France and the Kingdom. Under the direction of internationally renowned conductors, he has sung in concert with the symphony orchestras of Quebec, Montreal, Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Detroit, Cincinnati, Naples (Florida). The funeral will take place on Saturday, October 15, at 1:30 p.m., at Saint-Charles-Borromée Church in Quebec (Charlesbourg sector). My condolences to the family and loved ones.  

In remembrance

September 14, 1982: Grace Patricia Kelly, 52, who became Princess Grace of Monaco, film actress, died at the Princess Grace Hospital Center in Monaco. Leaving the day before with her daughter Stéphanie, they are victims of a serious car accident, on the road located in the town of La Turbie (in France).
