UPGRADE DAY

The State of Vermont will buy four electric buses from the Quebec company Letenda, the company announced in the presence of its governor, who is visiting Montreal on Wednesday.

“These are buses with a range of 250 kilometers,” said Nicolas Letendre, President and CEO of Letenda.

“Vermont is committed to fighting climate change and electrification of the transportation sector is an important aspect,” said Phil Scott, Governor of Vermont.

In total, the Vermont Agency of Transportation will get its hands on four 100% electric Electrip buses of 30 feet (9 meters), which will be delivered in 2024.

These vehicles will go to Green Mountain Transit (GMT) and Marble Valley Regional Transit District (MVRTD) and will run in Burlington and Rutland.
