A mother savagely stabbed in LaSalle

A 29-year-old mother who gave birth a few weeks ago died after being savagely stabbed by an individual who fled Thursday morning in the borough of LaSalle, in Montreal.

The extremely violent crime occurred shortly before 9 a.m., in the parking lot of a residential building on rue des Oblats.

According to friends of the victim met at the scene, the mother of three children, including a newborn, had just installed the little ones in her car when her assailant allegedly burst in, armed with a knife.

The police, however, did not want to confirm this information.

The suspect allegedly stabbed his victim several times, inflicting very serious injuries.

The young woman was taken to hospital in critical condition. His death was confirmed at the end of the day.

In the early afternoon, several investigators and forensic identification technicians were at the scene of this violent crime to try to understand the circumstances.

According to our information, the victim lived on the third floor of the building where the tragedy occurred.

Several witnesses were to be interviewed by the police during the day.

The suspect has still not been arrested.

This is not the first time that a savage attack has occurred on rue des Oblats in recent years.

As late as the spring of 2021, in building next door, Rebekah Harry, 29, had been beaten to death. Her husband, Brandon MacIntyre, 32, was arrested and charged with the murder of his wife.

A few years earlier, in 2013, a love triangle story ended in a double murder, while a 30-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were shot dead in an apartment building on rue des Oblats.
