A new daycare concept in Saint-Fulgence


A community daycare service is now offered to residents of Saint-Fulgence, in Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, thanks to the CPE.BC des lutins.

“It's as if we were operating in our homes, but it's premises lent by the City,” said daycare manager Valérie Lapointe.

The service has been offered since July 4th for the children of the municipality. Residents of Saint-Fulgence are prioritized.

“The best thing is to solve the problem of families, said the mayor of Saint-Fulgence, Serge Lemyre. Daycare centers have closed. There were problems and we came up with a solution very quickly.”

At the Alfred Boivin group, a second pilot project will see the light of day in the fall. The company has surveyed its employees, who would need a total of 40 childcare places.

For the moment, 12 places will be reserved for employees.

Other daycare centers in the community will see the light of day. The next will be located in Larouche. The CPE.

BC des lutins has received approval for eight pilot projects. It plans to offer 63 new places.
