A season full of emotions for Tom Brady

An emotional season for Tom Brady

Aware of the approaching end of his career, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady says he approaches this campaign with special feelings.

On Sunday, the 45-year-old veteran began his 23rd and possibly final season in the NFL. Having changed course by postponing retirement for a year last winter, Brady also opened up a bit during his “Let’s Go!” podcast, the day after a 19-3 victory against Dallas Cowboys.

“I feel like there's more stuff that's in the past,” he said. You know, I just feel my emotions intensely. It's always been that way, but when you know the end is coming – and I don't know where I am on that – well, you know you don't have 10 years left to play.”

“I don't take anything for granted,” he also said, recalling that he had not made a final decision about the rest of his career in professional football after 2022.

Brady completed 18 of 27 passes for 212 yards, one touchdown and one interception in his regular season opener. His people will visit the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.
