A successful first!

The very first fundraising dinner for the Quebec Organization of People with Cancer (OQPAC), presented on October 1 at the Hôtel Le Bonne Entente in Quebec under the honorary presidency of Luc Desroches, General and Commercial Director at Masi Agricola for the Atlantic and Asia-Pacific regions, brought together 160 people who also celebrated the 250th anniversary of the first harvest of the Boscaini family (Vins Masi) in Valpolicella. This five-course dinner, washed down with Masi wines (obviously) was a success and raised $30,000 which will allow us to retain qualified staff and offer activities for people with cancer. Pictured, from left: Guylaine Vallée, Philanthropic Activities Assistant; Guy Office, treasurer; Geneviève Parent, Head of Communications; Simon Girard, Chairman of the Board, all from OQPAC; Luc Desroches, honorary president; Michel Létourneau, Vice-Chairman of the Board; Francis Lemieux, General Manager and Luc Lescarbeau, OQPAC Funding Committee.

Change of tens

Allow me to wish happy birthday in advance to Stéphanie Paquet(photo) of the Beauport borough in Quebec, which will officially change dozens tomorrow on Sunday, October 9. Originally from Loretteville, Stéphanie was a recreationist at the Christ-Roi Accommodation Center, CIUSSS de la Capitale-Nationale for 23 years before becoming, in 2018, manager responsible for the living environment at the same location. Great athlete, she loves hiking, cross-country skiing and more recently, inspired by Jimmy Pelletier and his hiking, she started cycling. Her three daughters, Marie-Alix, Aude-Emmanuelle and Théa-Philippe, aged 19 to 23, as well as Mario, her spouse of the past 30 years (including 25 years of marriage) and several friends wish her a wonderful birthday day. My little finger tells me that this is not the only surprise (his photo in my page) that awaits him this weekend. Happy Birthday Stephanie.

In remembrance
