A young man shot in the Plateau-Mont-Royal

UPGRADE DAY

A 24-year-old man was shot in an altercation that escalated Sunday morning in Plateau-Mont-Royal.  

Shots rang out around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, in the Plateau sector, at the corner of Sherbrooke and Saint-Laurent streets. A call was made to emergency services at 3:20 a.m. on Saint-Laurent Street near Milton Street. 

There was This is an altercation that would have degenerated between two individuals at the exit of the bars. 

One of the two individuals would have taken out a firearm to aim at the victim in order to hit him in the lower body.  

If the victim suffered serious injuries, the young person is now in hospital and there is no fear for his life. 

The suspect, a man between 25 and 30 years old, fled after shooting the victim. The nature of the relationship between the two men remains unknown.

A perimeter has been erected and investigators are trying to collect testimonies.
