An extra hour to sell or serve alcohol

One more hour to sell or serve alcohol

Bar, restaurant and club operators will be able to serve or sell alcohol later in the night from Saturday to Sunday, due to the time change.

At 2:00 a.m. Saturday night, Quebecers will have to set their watches and clocks back one hour to change to Eastern Standard Time.

Thus, holders of a bar, restaurant or meeting permit or an ancillary permit will benefit from an additional hour to sell or serve alcoholic beverages, specified the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux by press release, Tuesday.

This hour gained for tenants will however be lost again when summer time returns, scheduled for the end of March 2023.
