A 52-year-old man suspected of having opened fire on the personal vehicle of a Sûreté du Québec police officer, as well as on a shed located on his land, was arrested Thursday, in Lebel -sur-Quévillon, in the Nord-du-Québec.
The worrying affair occurred on September 18th. Shots were fired at the police officer's personal vehicle and at his shed.
The investigation conducted by the Major Crimes Division of the Sûreté du Québec led to the arrest of the alleged perpetrator of the attack.
Two searches were also carried out in residences as part of this investigation, one on rue des Pruniers and the other on rue des Peupliers, in Lebel-sur -Quévillon.
“Several firearms” were seized, authorities said in a statement.
The suspect in this case appeared Friday morning on various counts of accusation.
