The man who had been missing since Monday was pulled from a pit on agricultural land in Bas-Saint-Laurent on Tuesday morning.
The victim is in his sixties, confirmed the Sûreté du Québec (SQ).
The incident occurred around 5 p.m., in the facilities located at 2nd and 3rd Rang West in Les Heights. The worker would likely have fallen into a manure pit.
“A man would be missing following this fall,” first mentioned Hélène St-Pierre, spokesperson for the SQ. .
The operation to locate the man ended around 8:30 am Tuesday.
According to the police, there is nothing criminal in this case. Stakeholders from the Commission for Standards of Equity in Occupational Health and Safety (CNESST) went to the site to shed light on the circumstances of the tragedy.
