Biden 'shocked' by fatal shooting near Chicago

Joe Biden said he was “shocked” by the shooting near Chicago that left at least 6 dead and 24 injured on Monday during a National Day parade, promising in a press release to “not not give up on the fight against the epidemic of gun violence.”

A man opened fire on the crowd that had gathered in the late morning to observe the July 4 parade in Highland Park, an affluent town north of Chicago, before fleeing. A large police force is now trying to locate the suspect.
