Boucherville: a swerve costs the life of a driver

Boucherville: Swerve Costs Driver's Life< /p> UPDATE DAY

A man died Sunday morning after swerving and rolling over Highway 30 East near Boucherville, Montérégie. 

The cause the accident could be the speed, according to the spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, Catherine Bernard.

The 48-year-old driver lost control of his vehicle on Highway 30 East , at the 20 West ramp, around 2:15 a.m. Sunday.

The death was pronounced on the spot, and his passenger, also 48 years old, was transported to a hospital for serious injuries .

A collision investigator was dispatched to the scene, and the ramp remained closed for part of the night.
