Canadians not interested in traveling abroad this summer

Problems obtaining passports and chaos at airports have gotten some Canadians out of the idea of traveling abroad this summer, according to a recent Nanos poll.< /strong>
Carried out for CTV News, the poll found that 61% of Canadians surveyed have no international travel plans.
Nearly 6% of respondents mentioned that they had plans to travel abroad, but canceled it, while 3% had made a reservation anyway that they are ready to cancel.
Conversely, 12% of respondents are not discouraged by their plan to travel outside Canada.
Generally, it is Canadians aged 55 and over who have less interest (69%), compared to 58% for those aged 35 to 54 and 53% for those aged 18 to 34.
More than half (58%) also said they were worried about a possible return of health restrictions due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in the country s.
The survey was conducted among 1,002 Canadians over the age of 18 between June 30 and July 4, 2022.
