CAQ candidate in Maurice-Richard: a defeated candidate named under- minister


Candidate of the CAQ defeated in Maurice-Richard, Audrey Murray was appointed Deputy Minister at the end of the very first Council of Ministers.  

Ms. Murray will head the Ministry of Tourism, where she will work with Minister Caroline Proulx, reappointed on Thursday.  

Before running for François Legault's team, Audrey Murray was president of the Labor Market Partners Commission.  

She was defeated in the riding of Maurice-Richard, on October 3, by the solidarity candidate Haroun Bouazzi.  

After unveiling his new council of ministers on Thursday afternoon, François Legault gathered his new team for a first meeting.&nbsp ; 

At the end of the closed session, several deputy ministers changed positions. Among these, the Deputy Minister for Public Security, Brigitte Pelletier has become Associate Secretary General, in charge of the Secretariat for Senior Employment, at the Ministère du Conseil exécutif.

The Ministère de l'Éducation also loses his boss, Alain Sans Cartier, who leaves for International Relations and La Francophonie, where he will work with the former political analyst Martin Biron.  

He is replaced by Carol Arav, which comes from the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Solidarity.
