CF Montreal has loaned striker Chinonso Offor to SV Zulte Waregem, a Belgian first division team, until June 30, 2023, in addition to signing him to a two-year contract with additional options for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, Wednesday.
Acquired from the Chicago Fire on August 5 for a general allocation amount of $325,000 for 2023, the 22-year-old athlete could, however, leave the Montreal fold next winter. Indeed, Zulte will have the option to buy the relevant principal as of January 31. If he is not transferred, CF Montreal will be able to terminate the loan and recall Offor the following day.
The Nigerian-born player has played seven games this season in Major League Soccer, including three as incumbent. He scored one goal in 268 minutes with Chicago. Last season, he took part in 34 games for the Fire, including 11 starts, totaling one goal and two assists in 1307 minutes.
