The woman who allegedly hit another motorist before fleeing last week in Laval was finally arrested Tuesday evening after five days on the run, much to the relief of the victim's relatives.

“It is unforgivable, what she did. It's really annoying to see that we had to go and arrest her instead of denouncing herself. But it is sure that it is one less burden for us”, argues Alexandre Taillon, the son of the deceased, Stéphane Taillon.

Mixed emotions

She could face charges of hit-and-run causing death and manslaughter at the Laval courthouse today.

It is by experiencing a mixture of emotions that the son of the victim intends to attend the appearance.

The fatal hit and run occurred last Thursday morning on the service road of Highway 15, in Laval.

“Right now, I'm relieved, but I'm also angry, sad. I want to look her in the eyes and make her realize all the harm she has done to us. […] She took away a part of me”, drops the 21-year-old young man, who had only good words for the work of the investigators.

The facts which the woman is accused of occurred on the morning of September 15, on the service road of Highway 15 North, in Laval.

The woman was allegedly involved in a slight collision with the vehicle of Stéphane Taillon, 53 years old.

After the impact, Mr. Taillon got out of his car and was fatally hit by the other vehicle in what had all appearances of an extreme case of road rage.

Very seriously injured, Stéphane Taillon had been rushed to hospital, where he passed away 24 hours later.< /p> Got a scoop for us?
