Forward Derick Brassard signed a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators on Monday after attending training camp with the club through a pro tryout.
The Hull native will receive a salary of $750,000.
In four preseason games with the Ottawa squad, Brassard scored one goal and provided two assists for three points. This will be his third career season with the Senators, since he wore their colors in 2016-2017 and 2017-2018.
The Quebecer also wore the colors of the Columbus Blue Jackets , New York Rangers, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche, New York Islanders, Arizona Coyotes, Philadelphia Flyers and Edmonton Oilers in the National League.
The 35-year-old center has 202 goals and 320 assists for 522 points in 951 games in the best hockey league in the world.
