Adopted Montrealer Erik Bazinyan and his Mexican opponent Marcelo Esteban Coceres stayed within the weight limit at the weigh-in held Wednesday ahead of the Eye of the Tiger (EOTTM) gala to be held Thursday at the Cabaret at the Casino de Montréal.
Looking for a 13th K.-O. in 14 outings, Bazinyan (27-0-0, 21 KOs), who will defend his NABF super middleweight title, has weighed in at 167.2 lbs, compared to 167.6 lbs for Coceres (30 -3-1, 16 KOs)
For their part, Quebecer Steven Butler and New Brunswicker Brandon Brewer also passed their weigh-ins. Having snapped a two-game losing streak last March, Butler (29-3-1, 25 KOs) swung the scale needle to 159.2 lbs, while Brewer (25-2- 1, 11 KOs) posted a weight of 160 lbs. The NABF middleweight belt will be on the line in their fight.
The TVA Sports channel will broadcast the event from EOTTM.
