Far from Richard, Béliveau and Savard

Far from Richard, Béliveau and Savard

DAY

Nick Suzuki is the new captain of the Montreal Canadiens.

I'm especially happy for Joanie Godin, who has just published a charming, slightly fictionalized biography of the new captain.

It's obvious that we are far from of the captaincy of Maurice Richard, Jean Béliveau or Serge Savard. Without forgetting men like Yvan Cournoyer, Bob Gainey or Guy Carbonneau.

A good choice

But times change and traditions are transformed.

Personally, I think the management of the Canadiens made a good choice. The danger was too great that Brendan Gallagher would spend part of the season sulking if things didn't go too well for him.

Besides that, the job shortage has this good thing that secondary 3 students serve you at the IGA.

Given the shortage of talent, you might as well take a young person.
