General outage of Rogers: the bike-sharing service in Quebec City unavailable

Rogers widespread outage: Quebec bike-sharing service unavailable

BET À DAY

The àVélo bike-sharing service has been unavailable since Friday morning in Quebec City due to the “general outage” currently affecting the Rogers network.

This is what the Réseau de transport de la Capitale (RTC) announced on Friday in a press release.

The supplier of Rogers communications is the one “which allows the connection of terminals to Vélo”. However, this service is currently unavailable in several regions of the country.

Without advancing a date for the return of service, the RTC assured that its logistics teams “are ready to resume service as soon as the situation is restored”.

This isn't the first problem affecting the Vélo service, whose launch was delayed last spring due to a technological problem.
