British music greats pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II


From Elton John to Mick Jagger, several big names in British music have paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II following her death on Thursday afternoon. Here are some reactions collected on their social networks:  

Elton John: “Like the whole nation, I am deeply saddened to hear the news of the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth. She was an inspiring presence to be around and she led the country through some of our greatest and darkest times with grace, decency and warm caring. Queen Elizabeth has been a big part of my life, from my childhood to now, and I will miss her very much.”

Mick Jagger : “All my life, Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth has always been there. In my childhood, I remember watching the highlights of his marriage on television. I remember her as a beautiful young woman, then as the nation's beloved grandmother. I send my deepest condolences to the Royal Family.”
