The sad incident occurred around 4:10 p.m. on chemin des Pionniers, in this small municipality of Chaudière-Appalaches located not far from Montmagny.

“A vehicle that was heading west was immobilized to turn. But the motorcyclist, who was driving behind, would not have realized that the car was stationary,” explains Béatrice Dorsainville, of the Sûreté du Québec.

The septuagenarian was ejected from his motorcycle during impact and became trapped under a second oncoming vehicle. Transported to the hospital center, his death was quickly declared.
