Patisserie Gaudet in Acton Vale went up in smoke on Saturday morning, just days after declaring bankruptcy.
Firefighters went to the scene to attempt put out the blaze that started early in the morning at 1048 rue Macdonald in Acton Vale in Montérégie.

Based for almost 70 years in Acton Vale, Pâtisserie Gaudet filed for $23.8 million in bankruptcy this week, resulting in the forced dismissal of 113 workers.
“The balance due by the company to the Government of Quebec and Investissement Quebec is $7.7 million,” said Dominik Boudreault Lapierre, spokesperson for Investissement Quebec (IQ), on Tuesday August 9.
Saturday morning , the building was still in flames as evidenced by numerous videos posted on social networks.
