Let's fight in style

PROCURE launched its 9th Bowvember campaign last week, which highlights the wearing of the new bow tie, created by designer Philippe Dubuc, and the 2022 pocket square, while throughout the month of November to support the fight against prostate cancer. The profits raised by this initiative will allow PROCURE to finance its largest research project to date with the four university research centers in Quebec. Know that 12 men a day in Quebec are diagnosed with prostate cancer. The goal for the 2022 campaign is to raise $600,000. The bow tie is on sale now for $45 at www.procure.ca.

Increasingly popular

Despite the hazards caused by COVID-19 over the past two years, the École de musique Alain-Caron (ÉMAC) in Rivière-du-Loup draws up a positive assessment of its 2021-2022 year. The EMAC clientele totals 397 students, 100 more than the previous year. The hiring of a pedagogical advisor has been very beneficial in the development of services and assistance to teachers. ÉMAC ended the year with a balanced budget. Repayment of operating debt continues. A new modern logo has been adopted and the website has been completely redesigned. About twenty concerts were produced. ÉMAC is always looking for professors in various disciplines. You can get more information at 418 862-9532 or visit www.emacrdl.com.

He has developed valuable tools in the fields of foundations, roads, dams, pipelines and mines, contributing to the development of the Far North and improving the practice of geotechnics in general. At Université Laval, he has trained more than 80 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows.
