After several months of campaigning, the Conservative Party of Canada will reveal this evening, in Ottawa, who will take the reins of the political party.

The chairman of the Election Organizing Committee, Ian Brodie, is due to announce the results of the first round around 7:30 p.m.
More than 430,000 CPC members across the country exercised their right to vote.
Pierre Poilievre, Jean Charest, Roman Baber, Leslyn Lewis and Scott Aitchison are the five candidates vying to succeed Erin O'Toole , who was forced out of the CCP leadership, following a vote of confidence he lost last February.
