Man arrested for assaulting Conservative Party volunteer du Québec

UPDATE DAY

A 49-year-old man was arrested for assaulting a Conservative Party of Quebec volunteer in late August. 

During the night of August 28, a PCQ volunteer was allegedly assaulted when he was putting up election signs in the Rosemont district.

The incident allegedly occurred around 3 a.m. on rue Masson, near from 8th Ave. The victim was reportedly threatened verbally by an individual holding an object.

However, no weapon was found at the scene and there were no injuries, confirmed the SPVM.

The individual who allegedly assaulted the volunteer has been released on a promise and will appear shortly.
