The Sûreté du Québec announced on Friday that they had found an inanimate body in the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve on Friday afternoon. Everything leads us to believe that it could be the missing hunter Marcel Maltais.
The remains were found in the Lac Fourchette sector, near the place where found the man's vehicle on Thursday. The provincial police force specifies however that the identity of the victim has not yet been confirmed.
Recall that Marcel Maltais, 80, has been missing since October 6th. He had been seen for the last time in the Hébertville sector.
On Friday, about thirty patrol officers from the Sûreté du Québec, helped by a few volunteers, searched the sector where his vehicle was found the standby. The SQ helicopter was also involved.
