New York orders five electric buses from Nova Bus

UPDATE DAY

Quebec bus manufacturer Nova Bus is continuing its expansion into the United States with a new order for five LFSe+ electric buses for the New York State Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA).

The purchase of these five LFSe+ buses is part of the MTA's goal to convert its entire fleet of 5,800 buses to zero-emission vehicles by 2040. The buses will be assembled at the Nova Bus plant in Plattsburgh, New York, the Quebec company said in a statement. First delivery is expected by the fourth quarter of 2023.

“We are pleased that our LFSe+ can join the growing ranks of the MTA's electric bus fleet. The MTA has been a long-time partner of Nova Bus and we are thrilled to be part of their transition to electromobility,” said Martin Larose, President of Nova Bus.
