This year, at “OD Martinique”, it is the girls who will choose the boys to enter the adventure, without seeing their pretty face.
The eight girls and 10 boys were unveiled to the public, Wednesday noon, in an event organized at the Casino de Montréal – a first in three years -, simultaneously broadcast on the show's Facebook page.
For the occasion, a trail of former candidates were present, in particular the winners of the last season, Stevens and Inès, as well as Clodelle, Robin and Alexandra, but also Alex-Anne, Trudy and Adamo.
Aged 22 to 29, it is to the eight candidates unveiled on Wednesday that the pleasure will come from choosing among the ten boys who will be able to enter the adventure. The operation will however be carried out blindly – as was the case during the 7th season of “Double Occupation” then hosted by Pierre-Yves Lord, with the TVA agreement.
Only one candidate will be able to benefit from a free pass thanks to the public vote. The latter has until August 27 at 11:59 p.m. to vote for his favorite candidate. The announcement of the chosen boy will be made during the red carpet.
Presentation of the candidates
Over the past two weeks, several rumors have started to circulate on social networks about the participation in the show of some people. Some were also proven on Wednesday, in particular for the 23-year-old model and journalism student Florence Belzile, who will be part of the adventure, and that about the construction entrepreneur Philippe Gaudreau, who will walk the Martinican red carpet. .
Jimy, the 29-year-old tiler who describes himself as a “slightly cheesy “country boy” who “frenches” with his heart”, Dave, the 29-year-old ex-boxer, Félix the 24-year-old “lover-boy” and Isaack, the 24-year-old “expressive model,” will also try to sell their salad to the girls.
Among the ladies, Mégane, 26, from Terrebonne, would be the one with the biggest character so far, according to the girls, who have been living together for the last 48 hours. The sexology student Dominique, 29, would be the one who would be the most easily shaken by the “Alerts à la Jay” and the famous “twists”.
Aïssa, baccalaureate student in nursing, and Clémence, sales representative, are 24 and 25 years old respectively and both come from Montreal, while Koralie-Maya, 22, and Claudia, 26, live in the metropolitan suburbs of Longueuil and Terrebonne. Virginie, 27, is the only one to come from Quebec.
The winning couple of “OD Martinique” will take home nearly half a million dollars in prizes, including a three-bedroom condo in Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts, in the Laurentians, two SUVs of the year, furniture indoor and outdoor, as well as an audio set.
