Sunday will be marked by oppressive heat for southern Quebec, and pleasant temperatures elsewhere.
Environment Canada has issued a warning of heat for the Montreal region, the Montérégie and that of Drummondville, due to felt temperatures of 40 and more, expected in the afternoon.
“The risks are greater for young children, women pregnant, the elderly, people with chronic illnesses, and those who work or exercise outdoors. Look for a cool place, for example the shade of trees, the swimming pool, the shower or the bath and an air-conditioned place like a public building, ”said the federal agency in its web publication.
The UV index in these regions will also be very high, so sunscreen will be recommended.
Despite a slightly lower Humidex, the regions of the Capitale-Nationale, Estrie, Laurentides, Lanaudière and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean will also be very hot, with mercury indicating 30°C and more.
The day will be a little more pleasant for the East -du-Québec, where the humidity will not exceed 30. The only downside: the Abitibi-Témiscamingue region shows significant storm potential from the afternoon.
< p>The rain should water most of the province on Monday, to offer a sunny rest of the week the next day.
