The Florida Panthers are reportedly about to announce the hiring of Paul Maurice as head coach.

That's what advanced the Sportsnet network on Wednesday.

The Florida club was managed by Andrew Brunette for the vast majority of the 2021-2022 season, he who had obtained the interim position after the departure of Joel Quenneville early in the campaign.

Previously, the Sault Ste. . Marie was the pilot of the Hartford Whalers (1995 to 1997), the Carolina Hurricanes (1997 to 2004 and 2008 to 2012) and the Toronto Maple Leafs (2006 to 2008). Maurice has a record of 775-681-99-130 in 1685 games behind the bench for an NHL team.
