The accident happened shortly after 2:30 p.m. For reasons that remain to be clarified, the vehicle hit the electric pole which was completely severed during the impact, to then end up on the road.
The event also led to a power outage, thus depriving nearly 1,200 subscribers of electricity and the interruption of traffic lights near the accident. Stop signs have been requested, the time to restore the situation.
For the time being, the Service de Police de la Ville de Québec (SPVQ) has not reported any criminal incidents related to the event . There were no injuries.
Traffic will be disrupted for a while, according to the SPVQ, which believes that there is a lot of work to be done on site before the situation is restored.
