Two men in their twenties were stabbed in the borough of Lachine, Montreal, on the night of Monday to Tuesday.

Montreal police were alerted around 12:20 a.m. by calls to 911 about a man who was stabbed in an apartment on rue Ivan-Franko, near rue Saint-Antoine.

< p>At the scene, the police located a 28-year-old man injured in the upper body by a sharp object, said Véronique Comtois of the Service de police de la Ville de Montréal.

The victim was transported in a hospital center and there would be no danger to his life, according to the SPVM spokesperson.

Almost at the same time, another man, aged 21 years, presented to the hospital for injuries caused by a sharp object.

“As for the 21-year-old man, we have confirmation that he is in a stable condition”, said the agent Comtois, specifying that the two victims could have been involved in the same event.

According to reports, it could be an altercation involving several individuals in a location that is not the accommodation where the first victim, 28, was found.

Trad overnight, a vehicle in which the event might have occurred was located on rue Melrose, in the Côte-des-Neiges-Notre-Dame-de-Grâce sector.< /p>

The police investigation is still ongoing in an attempt to locate the scene of the double assault to better understand what really happened, it was added.
