Police officers from the Sûreté du Québec are investigating the discovery of an inanimate body in a car on chemin des Familles, in Stoneham.
L The call was made to 9-1-1 around 2 p.m. According to witnesses interviewed, the individual was shot and wounded. The SQ went to the scene and a security perimeter was erected.
Hélène St-Pierre, spokesperson for the Sûreté du Québec, confirms the death of a man in his twenties and the fact that it could be a murder, according to the first elements of the investigation.
The SQ also indicates that witnesses affirmed to have heard sounds of detonations.
According to information from a resident of the area, it was a teenager returning by bicycle who saw the bloodied individual in his vehicle. He immediately alerted his parents, who went to the scene to see the tragedy. They called the emergency services.
