The actor who played James bond in four films, pierce Brosnan has said that it is time for a woman to assume the mission as 007, reports the Chronicle.info with reference to BBC.
In an interview with journalist he said to see the role of the bond woman would be “touching and exciting”.
“I believe we have already seen how the guys are doing this for the last 40 years,” said 66-year-old Brosnan.
“Go out, guys, make way for the woman!” — he added.
The actor hopes to change the gender of the character, but it is believed that the producer of the franchise Barbara Broccoli will not approve of this idea.
“I don’t think it will happen with Broccoli”, he said.
