Possible feminicide in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac: an investigation opened by the CDPDJ

The Commission for Human Rights and Youth Rights (CDPDJ) has decided to open its own investigation into the situation of children who were at the scene of a possible feminicide on Wednesday in Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac. 

“Considering the nature of the information alleged in the media, the Commission will investigate in accordance with article 23b) of the Law on the protection youth, having reason to believe that children's rights are being violated. The investigation aims to verify whether the rights of children have been respected”, it was specified in a press release.

The progress of this investigation will not be made public, but systemic recommendations could be made. revealed at the end of the instigation.

Recall that the Sûreté du Québec (SQ) opened an investigation after the death of a woman which occurred in a marital context, where the inanimate body of Kamila Rodriguez Vital De Queiroz was found.

The children were in the residence during the tragedy. The seriously injured spouse died in hospital.
