Val-d'Or Foreurs forward Charles-Antoine Beauregard was suspended for five games by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Friday for violating the circuit's anti-discrimination policy.

Beauregard was kicked out of the previous game against the Sherbrooke Phoenix because of his objectionable remarks made late in the third period. His team lost 6-0.

This season, the forward had two points in 13 outings, while the Foreurs rank fifth in the Western Conference with a 8-7-2 record. He will be eligible to return to play on November 19 in the game against the Moncton Wildcats.

The suspension was granted following inappropriate comments made during the November 3 game against the Phoenix of Sherbrooke.
