Former Montreal Canadiens first-round pick Alex Galchenyuk has been granted a pro tryout with the Colorado Avalanche.
That's what learned the sports site The Athletic on Tuesday.
Selected with the third overall pick of the 2012 draft, the 28-year-old American has been rolling for 10 seasons in the National League. After six campaigns with CH, he played for the Arizona Coyotes, Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild, Ottawa Senators and Toronto Maple Leafs.
The last year, in a “Yotes” uniform, he scored six goals and provided 15 assists for 21 points in 60 games. He has 354 points in 643 games on the Bettman circuit.
