A stepfather with no criminal record has pleaded guilty to sexual interference with his 14-year-old stepdaughter for acts committed when the sick teenager asked for comfort.
Eddie Neault-Boucher was an obviously appreciated stepfather of his wife's daughter. On January 17, 2022, the 14-year-old girl, who had just been vaccinated against COVID-19, had experienced side effects.
Sick, so she had stayed home to the day. A plumber by training, Neault-Boucher went to the residence that day.
The young girl who was not feeling well then went to bed while asking her stepfather to stay with her in bed until she falls asleep. The young girl was wearing pajamas while the plumber was in work clothes.
However, while the victim was falling asleep, Eddie Neault-Boucher slipped his hand under the pajamas of the teenage girl and put her hand on her chest. The single episode lasted about a minute during which the victim, in shock, pretended to be asleep.
The 28-year-old accused then left the Lévis residence after which a complaint to the police was quickly filed. Neault-Boucher, who has no criminal history, pleaded guilty at the first opportunity to a charge of sexual contact.
DPCP prosecutor Me Martine Savard and the The defendant's lawyer, Me Patrick Lamarre, requested a sexological report before debating the sentence since the accused would have raised a sexual issue to explain his action.
He will therefore return in February 2023 for further proceedings, when he could receive his sentence.
