Ukraine expects the first tranche from the International monetary Fund in the amount of more than $ 2 billion in June.
This was announced by Prime Minister Denis Shmigel on his page in Facebook, reports Wave.
“The first tranche of $ 2.1 billion we expect later this month. Funds will be allocated in the state budget to support the economy and help people”, – informed the head of government.
Denis Shmigel noted that the “green light” from the IMF confirms the responsibility of the government to fulfil its obligations to international partners and commitment to systemic changes in the country.
“All the structural beacons, which are set out in the document, Ukraine must comply at least with the IMF, even without him. This is the order of the day, which our nation has identified for the development of a comfortable state. And cooperation with the IMF in the next 18 months will give us the opportunity to move forward in this matter, and in relations with the EU and other international partners,” — said the Prime Minister.
The program of the International monetary Fund approved by the IMF Executive Board, calculated on one and a half years and provides for the granting Ukraine $ 5 billion.
