Jacques-Cartier Bridge closed Saturday evening

Road users will need to plan their trips on Saturday evening as the Jacques-Cartier Bridge in Montreal will be closed to traffic due to fireworks.

The bridge will therefore be closed in both directions between 8:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. on Saturday evening. However, the access ramps will close in advance, around 8 p.m.

Only pedestrians, strollers and people with reduced mobility will have access to the bridge during closing hours. Bicycles are prohibited there.

In addition, smoking areas will be set up in specific places since it is now forbidden to smoke on deck during the fireworks.

The Jacques-Cartier Bridge is a prime location to observe the spectacle of colours. Pedestrians are invited to bring their folding chairs. Chemical toilets will also be there for the occasion.
