The Cowboys Fringants are giving up their place to the Trois Accords on the opening night of the Grandes Fêtes Telus, in Rimouski, next Thursday, due to singer Karl Tremblay's cancer treatments. ” We have to adapt our touring trips according to the treatment schedule of our dear Karl Tremblay, our warrior and singer of the Cowboys Fringants”, mentions the group, while thanking the Trois Accords for taking up the torch.
Karl Tremblay revealed on July 19 that he had been diagnosed with prostate cancer in January 2020 and that he had to start chemotherapy treatments. The Cowboys Fringants nevertheless gave a concert in Sorel-Tracy, a few days later.
For now, they remain on the schedule for the closing night of the Festivent de Lévis, the August 7.
