80-year-old hunter's van missing for two weeks found


The pickup truck belonging to Marcel Maltais, this hunter who had been missing for two weeks in the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve, has been found. 

The helicopter of the Sûreté du Quebec located the vehicle around 2 p.m. Thursday afternoon. 

The 80-year-old hunter's pickup truck and ATV were stuck in the mud about 12 km from the chalet from which he left 14 days ago. 

The octogenarian, originally from Portneuf, is still missing. The search is continuing in the area where the vehicle was located.

Several personnel were deployed again on Thursday to find the 80-year-old hunter.  

Teams at ATVs and SUVs, as well as helicopters from the provincial police force combed a large area of ​​the Laurentides Wildlife Reserve. 

The 5'4'' and 145 lb man was seen for the last time on October 6, when he was in Hébertville in Lac-Saint-Jean.  

When he disappeared, he was wearing a black cap with red inscriptions, a black and blue checked coat, blue pants and gray sneakers. He has brown eyes and white hair that reaches his ears.
