At least two individuals attempted to steal several vehicles over the past weekend in several large parking lots in the Quebec City area.
Not to mention a wave or an increase in this type of crime, the police confirm a “blitz” of vehicle thefts which has been curbed by two arrests.  ;
On Saturday, the SPVQ recorded five vehicle thefts, four in the parking lot of the Galeries de la Capitale and another in the parking lot of a cinema in the Beauport sector. Shopping center parking lots are usually very popular with criminals. mentioned a spokesperson for the SPVQ. It could therefore be an order.
On Sunday, another attempted theft of a vehicle took place in the Costco parking lot on rue Bouvier, in Lebourgneuf.
The police then proceeded to arrest two individuals nearby. Two suspects, aged 19 and 24, were intercepted less than a kilometer away by several patrol cars.
The two suspects from the greater Montreal area appeared at the courthouse on Monday. < /p>
