Violent rollover on a construction site in Lévis

A motorist was seriously injured Monday evening in Lévis after a violent rollover on a construction site.

The spectacular accident occurred shortly after 7 p.m. near the intersection of Caldwell and Saint-Laurent streets, in a residential area of Old Lévis.

The driver allegedly drove at high speed in a narrow, dead-end area.

His race ended on the roof, in a hole where it is impossible to drive due to major works.

The driver, aged in his thirties, was unconscious when help arrived but his life would not be threatened. He was incarcerated for approximately 45 minutes.

A blood sample was ordered as the police have reason to believe that he was impaired.

The heavy machinery was needed to free and tow the vehicle which is a total loss.
