Les Toqués du vin


After more than two years of absence, 300 generous donors gathered on October 6 at the Hôtel Le Bonne Entente in the Sainte-Foy borough, for the 24th evening gastronomy Les Toqués du vin for the benefit of Opération Enfant Soleil (OES). This evening raised a record amount of $155,200, which will allow OES to pursue its mission of supporting the provision of the best pediatric care for all children in Quebec. Relaunch evening

In order to underline the resumption of its activities, the Association Lyrique de Beauport invites all its old and new members as well as the public who love beautiful music to attend the musical show entitled Alys Robi, une vie en chansons, which will feature the excellent soprano Carole Cyr, accompanied by her quartet composed of Sophie Boisvert, Jean-François Gagné, Zbigniew Borowitz and Richard Boisvert (photo). This relaunch will be held tomorrow, October 14, starting at 8 p.m., at the Center Municipal Mgr Laval, 35, rue du Couvent, Beauport, Quebec. Admission $20. World champion at 11 years

The World Junior Championships in WAKO (kick-boxing) ended on October 9th in Lido di Jesolo, in the province of Venice, Italy. More than 6,200 competitors aged 10 to 18 came from several countries. Note the performance of Jules Goulet (photo), 11 years old, from Studios Unis de Val-Bélair, who won the gold medal in creative kata and a silver medal in musical freestyle kata.
