A woman presented to a Montreal hospital on Monday afternoon for treatment of a gunshot wound.
L he incident occurred around 2:10 p.m. in the borough of Rosemont–La Petite-Patrie.
“A woman reportedly presented herself to a hospital center in the Montreal region, presenting an injury perpetrated with a firearm in the lower body,” summarized Julien Lévesque, spokesperson for the Montreal Police Department.
The victim is a 36-year-old woman. Her injury did not raise fears for her life, authorities said.
Investigators should meet with the woman when her condition allows to try to determine the circumstances in which she was injured.
